Integrating green hydrogen into hybrid renewable energy systems presents a promising pathway to decarbonizing energy supply chains and achieving global sustainability goals. Green hydrogen, produced via electrolysis powered by renewable energy sources, offers a versatile solution for addressing emissions in hard-to-electrify sectors such as heavy industry, transportation, and utilities. By coupling green hydrogen with renewable energy technologies like wind, solar, and hydro, hybrid systems can mitigate intermittency challenges, enhance grid stability, and enable long-term energy storage. This paper explores the potential of integrating green hydrogen into hybrid systems, examining key challenges such as technological limitations, economic feasibility, and regulatory hurdles. Furthermore, it discusses the opportunities for decarbonizing high-emission industrial sectors and the role of green hydrogen in energy storage and grid integration. Drawing from global case studies and initiatives, this paper highlights the advancements made in green hydrogen production, storage, and infrastructure development. The findings suggest that while significant challenges remain, the future of green hydrogen in hybrid renewable energy systems is promising, contingent on further technological innovation, policy support, and market solutions. Recommendations are provided for future research and policy development to accelerate the widespread adoption of green hydrogen and unlock its full potential in the energy transition.
