The Lean construction(LC)  has proven effective helping to solve many industry problems and maximize customer value, by helping to understand, identify, and eliminate many of the causes and sources of waste in both the process and physical aspects of the design and construction process as a whole. The goal of Lean is to generate that value effectively and efficiently. Therefore, a holistic understanding of the LC philosophy is very important for stakeholders who are interested in construction projects. The aim of the current research is to analyze the understanding  of LC philosophy based on the constractors’ perspective in Eastern Indonesia.
